This Privacy Policy explains how gifmememaker.com ("we", "us", "our") treats information when you use ourmeme maker at gifmememaker.com. The short version: the tool is built so that wenever receive your media, and we do not sell personal information. The long version is below.

Information We Collect

We collect as little as possible. In practice, that means:

• No account data. There is no signup, so we never ask for your name, email address, password or social login.
• No uploaded media. Your images, GIFs and videos are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to us.
• No payment data. Optional Pro purchases, if any, are handled by the payment provider — card details never touch our servers.
• Standard technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic request metadata (IP address, browser type, time of request) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not linked to your memes.

Your Uploads & Media Files

All rendering, trimming, frame extraction, AI caption suggestions and GIF/video encoding happenentirely on your device using browser technologies (Canvas, WebCodecs, client-side encoders). Files you drop into the studio stay in your browser's memory until you close the tab or reload the page. We cannot read, access, moderate or recover your media — by design, not by policy alone. Anything you export is your own copy, stored only where you save it.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use a small amount ofbrowser local storage to remember your preferences on your own device, such as:

• your light/dark theme choice,
• studio settings like watermark text, position and opacity, and
• the "Free Features Only" mode toggle.

This data never leaves your browser. You can clear it at any time via your browser's site-data settings, which resets the tool to its defaults.

Third-Party Services

We load web fonts (Google Fonts) to display the site consistently. When your browser fetches these assets, the provider receives standard request information such as your IP address under its own privacy policy. We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social tracking pixels or session replay tools in the meme maker.

How We Use Information

Any information we do collect (typically anonymous, aggregated technical data) is used only to operate, secure and improve the site — for example, to diagnose crashes, prevent abuse and understand which features of the online meme maker are used most. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles.

Data Security

Because the architecture minimizes data collection, there is very little stored to protect. Site traffic is served over HTTPS, and the preferences we do keep are scoped to your own browser.
